Alejandro Montalvo is a Mexican film and advertising director, Director of the creative studio MADMATH and founding partner of the production company Empírica. He began his career as a photographer of independent films such as “Hotel de Paso” by Paulina Sánchez Y directing his first short film, “Hambre”.

Alejandro's debut feature film, “Surgencia”, explores the journey of winemaker Hugo D'Acosta and chef Benito Molina through Baja California. Recently, he has worked on the campaigns “Capital of Mexican Wine” and “The Most Revolutionary Gastronomy in Mexico” and “The Oasis of Craft Beer”, bringing together the main representatives of wine and gastronomy in the region. He was selected for the Guadalajara Talent Campus and the Doculab of the Guadalajara Film Festival.
